International War Crimes Tribunal Hearing on the U.S./NATO War Against Yugoslavia

You are invited to hear former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark and others testify at the San Francisco International War Crimes Tribunal Hearing on the US/NATO war against Yugoslavia on Sat., November 13 at Horace Mann School. Registration starts at 9:30 am. The San Francisco event is part of a series of hearings of the grassroots Commission of Inquiry for the Tribunal, which are scheduled in at least 8 countries and 25 cities. The Tribunal is designed to hold the US and NATO responsible for war crimes committed against Yugoslavia.
The recent London Observer investigation, which revealed new evidence of the deliberate targeting of the Chinese Embassy by NATO forces, will be one of the topics discussed. Plenary panels and workshops throughout the day will cover: effects of the war on the environment and civilian infrastructure; instances of media falsifications and an analysis of the role of the US media in the war; the US aims; historical background to the break-up of Yugoslavia; violations of international law; and more.

The San Francisco hearing will feature two panels and four workshops on Saturday. Workshops and panels will be held in the throughout the day, with a featured showing of the NATO Targets video by award-winner Gloria La Riva during lunch. Lunch will be available at the hearing.
To reach Horace Mann Middle School,
take 24th St. BART or MUNI #14, 49, 26, 67, 48. From US101, exit Army St. (Cesar Chavez Blvd.) and follow the signs for Army St. West. Continue about ¾-mile to Valencia St. and turn right. Continue four blocks to 23rd St. where the school is located. From I-280 North, exit San Jose Avenue, and continue approximately 1-3/4 miles to 23rd St. Turn right and continue 2 blocks to the school. Parking is in short supply at the school, but street parking is available and a municipal garage is located two blocks from the school at 21st St. and Bartlett St.
Valuable information and organizing resources will be available at literature tables throughout the hearing. Dramatic photos depicting the war also will be on display. Join us on Saturday and add your voice to those demanding that the Pentagon war-mongers be judged for all the world to see.
