Dear Friends, The Tide is Turning!

The majority of the people are against the war - and they want the troops home NOW!

The answer to that question from a strategic perspective, or any other perspective is a resounding YES! Because only a mass movement on the streets will stop the war.

Enjoy the new air conditioning and wonderful home-cooked food and join in a strategic discussion to help build for July 31st and September 24th. In the next few weeks, we need to get out tens of thousands of leaflets, posters, and stickers--and we need your help to do it. This is a critical time in the struggle against the war--military recruiting is at an all-time low and public opinion has turned decisively against the occupation--but this growing opposition will only make a difference if there is heat in the streets. Tomorrow night, we will discuss plans to get out literature in subways, parks, community centers, churches and mosques, and schools all over the region.

We have less than two weeks before the regional organizing rally in Harlem http://troopsoutnow.org/ --July 31 from 1-5 pm in Marcus Garvey Park. This meeting, which will feature music, speakers, and a community speakout, will also kick-off the mobilizing for the antiwar march on Washington on September 24 http://troopsoutnow.org/ - as well as the Millions More Movement events on October 14-16.
