Mumia Supporters on Democracy Now!
Pacifica radio's Democracy Now program is scheduled to feature International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal delegation from France including Julia Wright, Tuesday, July 30th, 2002, 9am until 10am EST. The delegation long with Pam Africa will be speaking to Amy Goodman regarding their recent visit with Mumia and developments relevant to his case.

Please come to an important press conference with Pam Africa, Julia Wright, and the French Delegation on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at 8:45 a.m. at the Fire House, Downtown Community Television (DCTV), 87 Lafayette Street (take #6 train to Canal and walk to White Street & Lafayette).
The French Delegation will bring information about the ongoing mobilization and continued support in France for Mumia’s becoming an Honorary Citizen of Paris, including the backlash from the United States. They will also report on their visit with Mumia at SCI Greene on Monday, July 29, 2002, as well as contribute a significant sum of money to the struggle to free Mumia.
The press conference will be followed by a reception for Pam Africa and the delegation at WBAI, 120 Wall Street, 10th floor, beginning at 9:45 a.m. and ending at noon.
The French delegation is composed of:
Julia Wright, Coordinator of COSIMAPP (International Committee in Solidarity with Mumia Abu-Jamal and Political Prisoners) and Representative of International Concerned Family & Friends of Mumia in Paris
Jackie Horteaut, emissary from the French CPT (General Labor Confederation)
Marcel Trillat, French television journalist and director of TV documentaries
Marie-Cécile Pla, representative of MRAP (Movement Against Racism and Friendship with the Peoples)
Claude Guillaumaud-Peujol, Coordinator of JUST JUSTICE
All are emissaries from the French National Collective to Free Mumia Abu-Jamal, consisting of 60 different groups in support of Mumia.
