Update on Mumia Support Activities including April 6th

Join Dick Gregory, Sonia Sanchez, Pam Africa, Larry Holmes and others to DEMAND FREEDOM FOR MUMIA ABU-JAMAL, An innocent victim of police misconduct and the racist death penalty

SAT. APRIL 6

PHILADELPHIA

11am MARCH Gathering at State Office Building (corner of Broad and Spring Garden)

12pm TEACH-IN on 'Let the Evidence be heard' Benjamin Franklin High School (corner of Broad and Green)

This forum will include updates on the Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin case, April 20th mobilization against war and racism in Washington, DC, struggle for reparations, a special taped greeting from Mumia, film showings and much more.

Mumia Abu-Jamal is calling all progressive forces to unite and not allow the racist courts and the U.S. government to "depoliticize" his case. The December 18th federal district court decision that overturned Mumia's death sentence and not the first degree murder conviction, is a political maneuver to try to keep all of the suppressed evidence that could free Mumia, from seeing the light of day, especially the Arnold Beverly confession. The death penalty could still be reinstated for Mumia depending on the outcome of the state and federal appeals or Mumia could be facing life in imprison without parole, a Pennsylvania law.

MUMIA IS A POLITICAL PRISONER AND ANYTHING SHORT OF HIS FREEDOM IS UNACCEPTABLE.
