SIGN ON to MUMIA'S AMICUS BRIEFS

Dear Friends,

On August 7, 2000, Judge Yohn rejected all of the Amicus Briefs filed on Mumia’s behalf.THIS IS NO SMALL MATTER.Contained within these briefs is vital evidence supported by precedent setting cases that reveal the many injustices committed against Mumia during his trial. This ruling was unprecedented as normally judges who are seeking the truth, welcome Amicus Briefs.Judge Yohn’s ruling represents another attempt to prevent Mumia from receiving a real trial, where all the evidence is heard.This is Mumia’s last chance, as Judge Yohn’s decisions will set precedent for the final appeals.

WE MUST ACT NOW!     Having your organization sign a Notice of Joinder to the Chicana/Chicano Studies Foundation Amicus Brief will greatly aid us in the ongoing Appeal of Judge Yohn’s decision. 

Enclosed is ... the Notice of Joinder forms needed to sign on.  Please review the brief, and the “Table of Contents” found on the first three pages of the brief filed for the Chicana/Chicano Studies Foundation. If you do not have a copy of the brief it can be emailed to you, downloaded from www.mumia.org  , or mailed to you for a suggested donation of $4.00.

It is preferable that a typewriter be used in completing the Notice of Joinder. Your organization’s reason for filing the Notice of Joinder (#2, page 2) can be taken directly from the Table of Contents of the brief and quoted verbatim if you wish.  Your stated reason for filing the Notice of Joinder must be RELATED TO THE CONTENTS OF THE BRIEF. 

MAIL us the completed original, as copies (or faxes) of the completed forms are not acceptable to file for legal reasons.In addition please fax us a copy of the completed form.

Also, they want to alert everyone that the email forms posted will not work and the information contained mistakes. All forms must be sent to the International Concerned Family and Friends office. The forms must be gathered together and submitted by ICFF-MAJ and not sent anywhere else.
