MUMIA’s STATEMENT for Mumia 911

To the Youth and for Art-Makers:

There’s an old saying: ‘Art is all that cannot be suppressed.’ That saying flies to mind when one thinks of the extraordinary actions taking place at this time across the nation and around the world. These acts of art are against the greatest oppression known to man: state-sanctioned murder. As an artist who carves words instead of marble I join you; I thank you, and I applaud you. May your art enlighten, enrage and inspire!
