Yesterday, 6,000 people packed Madison Square Garden for Mumia in a sold-out rally for Mumia Abu-Jamal--the largest indoor event that has ever taken place in his support. (A comprehensive press release and statement will be circulated later today reporting on the very successful Garden event, but we're sending this email out because your action is immediately required.)

This event has received a lot of media coverage in New York, including tv, radio, and print, including the NY dailies and the New York Times metro section.

Our political intervention in every arena will make the difference in the battle for public opinion in support of Mumia. This is the most critical time period.
