Below is a list of events that will be occuring in support of Leonard Peltier's release by parole. If you or someone you know is organizing something that is not listed, please let us know. Flood Janet Reno with phone calls in support of Leonard Peltier's release by way of parole on June 9th. The number is: 202-305-1400. The count down is on with less than three weeks left before the parole hearing. Be sure to get your parole letters in soon, if you have not sent them yet. If you know organizations, churches, unions, etc. who want to send letters of support, we do still need more. Please have everyone get their letters in no later than June 6th. Meanwhile, let's keep the calls flowing to the White House, Congress, and Reno. Thank you.

BOSTON, MA - Council for Native American Solidarity and the American Friends Service Committee - Criminal Justice Program Request your Presence at a Candlelight Vigil on June 11th in solidarity with Leonard Peltier - Date: Sunday, June 11th, 2000 - Time: 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The candlelight vigil will begin at dusk. The video will be shown at the Ho-Chunk Nation Three Rivers House located at the corner of 8th and Main streets in downtown La Crosse. 12:00pm - March The march will start at the Three Rivers House, go north one block to State St., then West down State St. to Riverside Park. This march must abide by the following guidelines: we will be marching on the sidewalk, only 2 people abreast during walk, do not obstruct normal sidewalk traffic, and obey all pedestrian traffic laws. 12:30 - Rally We will be meeting at the bandshell in Riverside Park. Jean Day, one of the survivors of the "Reign of Terror" and spokesperson of the Leonard Peltier Defense Committee will speak. Microphone will be open for others interested up until 2:30pm.
