1. TUESDAY IS Boston Area-LPSG CALL IN DAY to Congress.
2. 26TH ANNIVERSARY VIGIL FOR THE FREEDOM OF LEONARD PELTIER and for recognition of the 64 Native Americans and two FBI agents who died on Pine Ridge Reservation between 1973-1976
WHEN: JUNE 26TH, 2001 - 4-8 pm
WHERE: BOSTON COMMON at the fountain behind Park Street Station
Our effort in the clemency campaign was strong. We've got momentum. Let's show overwhelming support on this day of mourning. Our current effort is requesting that Congress pass an act for the release of the remaining 6,000 documents withheld by the FBI and an investigation into their abuses during the 'Reign of Terror' years. From 1973 to 1976, over 60 Native Americans were killed on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Their murders have never been investigated.
JUNE 26th, 1975 - the day that consigned Leonard Peltier to two life sentences for murder though the Federal Prosecutor has admitted "WE CAN'T PROVE WHO SHOT THOSE AGENTS". The day that Agents Coler and Williams lost their lives. The day that Indian Activist Joe Stuntz lost his life. His murder has never been investigated.
Join us in prayer for all of the families who lost loved ones, for a healing of Nations, and the Freedom of Leonard Peltier
WE WILL NOT STOP TILL THE TRUTH IS OUT AND LEONARD IS FREE!
