"On direct orders from the Italian government, headed by Silvio Berlusconi (who himself faces many investigations), three Libyans were arrested in Perugia, including Ahusain Nouri, president of the League of Libyan students in Italy.

What serious "crimes" would have blemished the records of the three Libyan students? None really.

As the authorities themselves have admitted, these are "preventive arrests made for crimes that have not been committed," including the intention to occupy the Libyan Embassy in Italy.

What is alleged about Nuri Ahusain and the others is that they have been at the forefront of protests against the bombing of Libya and have condemned them as imperialist intervention of NATO in the internal affairs of their country; that they have denied the reports, proven indeed that the "genocide" committed by forces loyal to Gadhafi is in effect media hype, and of having called the leaders of the revolt in Libya parasitic worms in the pay of Western invaders.

Accused, in short, of being patriots who defend the dignity and sovereignty of their country. Values and behaviors that for the Italian authorities constitute the elements of a criminal offense , the conditions of a "real conspiracy to commit crimes."

Here, if anyone is committing a crime, it is instead the Berlusconi government, who only a year and a half after the signing of the treaty of friendship with Libya, have shaped and turned Italy, in perfect continuity with the old fascist colonialism, the outpost for aggression in that country. It is a government in its death throes that participates directly in the bombings that have nothing to do with the now ill-fated UN Resolution 1973, which included the use of force "only" to protect civilians. A government that justifies its dirty war on the pretext of "human rights" and is only interested in plundering the natural resource of Libyan oil.

A government that in order to prevent the Libyan people their legitimate right to protest against the repeated colonial aggression, arrested three innocent people based on a police manipulation resorting to the judicial monstrosity of "guilt by association compounded by its transnational nature."

We ask:

- The immediate release of Nuri Ahusain and the other two Libyan students

- The cessation of bombing on Libya

- The departure of Italy from the coalition of aggressors

- A ban on the use of Italian territory to attack Libya

«Su ordine diretto del governo italiano, capeggiato dal plurinquisito Silvio Berlusconi, sono stati arrestati a Perugia tre cittadini libici, tra cui Nuri Ahusain, presidente della Lega degli studenti libici in Italia.

Di quali gravi “crimini” si sarebbero macchiati i tre studenti libici? Nessuno in verità.

Come le autorità hanno esse stesse ammesso, si tratta di “arresti preventivi affinché dei reati non venissero compiuti”, tra cui l’intenzione di occupare l’Ambasciata libica in Italia.

Quello che viene contestato a Nuri Ahusain e agli altri è di essere stati in prima fila nelle proteste contro i bombardamenti sulla Libia; di aver condannato come imperialistica l’ingerenza della NATO negli affari interni del loro paese; di aver smentito la notizia, rivelatesi in effetti una montatura mediatica, del “genocidio” commesso dalle forze leali a Gheddafi; e di aver definito i capi dei rivoltosi ascari al soldo degli invasori occidentali.

Accusati, insomma, di essere dei patrioti che difendono la dignità e la sovranità del loro paese. Valori e comportamenti che per le autorità italiane costituiscono invece elementi di reato, i presupposti di una “vera e propria associazione a delinquere”.

Qui, se c’è qualcuno che delinque, è invece il governo Berlusconi, che a solo un anno e mezzo dalla firma del Trattato d’amicizia con la Libia, lo ha stracciato e ha fatto dell’Italia, in perfetta continuità col vecchio colonialismo fascista, l’avamposto dell’aggressione a quel paese. Un governo moribondo che partecipa direttamente a bombardamenti che nulla hanno a che vedere oramai con la sciagurata Risoluzione ONU 1973, che prevedeva l’uso della forza “solo” a protezione dei civili. Un governo che motiva la sua guerra sporca col pretesto dei “diritti umani” mentre è interessato solo a depredare il petrolio e le risorse naturali della Libia.

Un governo che pur di impedire ai cittadini libici il loro legittimo diritto di protestare contro l’ennesima aggressione coloniale, ha arrestato tre innocenti in base ad una montatura poliziesca ricorrendo alla mostruosità giuridica di “associazione per delinquere aggravata dal carattere transnazionale”.

Noi chiediamo:

- l’immediato rilascio di Nuri Ahusain e degli altri due studenti libici

- la cessazione dei bombardamenti sulla Libia

- l’uscita dell’Italia dalla coalizione degli aggressori

- il divieto all’uso del territorio italiano per attaccare la Libia
