NYC: EMERGENCY PROTEST TOMORROW MORNING, WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 14 –, 2009, 8:30 AM TO STOP THE REMOVAL OF MACHINERY FROM THE STELLA D'ORO PLANT IN THE BRONX

AT 184 WEST 237TH STREET, BRONX, NY

"Some of us are prepared to block the taking of the machinery with our bodies"

(TAKE THE NUMBER #1 TRAIN ON THE 7TH AVE. LINE TO THE 238 ST. STOP)

Tomorrow morning, Brynwood Partners, the Union busting company that brought Stella D’Oro, is sending trucks to the plant in the Bronx to remove machinery. The workers are asking supporters to join them in an emergency protest against the removal of the machinery.

Stella D'Oro Strike support committee organizer Gavrielle Gemma said "We expect both the workers, the community and friends from around the city to join this protest against the gutting of a plant that will only leave more workers unemployed, and leave the Bronx, already the poorest place in the country, a little poorer" Ms Gemma continued, " Some of us are prepared to block the taking of the machinery with out bodies tomorrow because the these anti worker companies and the banks that finance must realize, just as they did last December when the Republic Window workers in Chicago occupied their plant to win severance pay, that workers and communities are going to resist corporate plunder and rape".

KEEP STELLA IN THE BRONX !
