PRESENTS
THE TRAVELING IMMIGRANTS ART EXHIBIT 2009

Approximately 40 immigrant artists (artists who were displaced from their homelands) will participate in 4 exhibits throughout the metropolitan New York area, the first two openings taking place in July, 2009. The artists come from a variety of continents and countries including Ivory Coast, Taiwan to Guatemala and Chile.

This exhibit was conceived because Art has transformative and healing powers which are truly needed at this time. It can transcend barriers, borders and differences. The Immigrants Art Exhibit provides an opportunity for immigrant artists to respond artistically to this time in history in which immigrants are being globally and locally persecuted and deprived of their rights.
