Fri., Sept. 6, 9 am to 5 pm, protest a joint session of  Congress being held in NY; warmongering featuring Dick  Cheney; at Federal Hall, Wall St. and Nassau St. For information call 917-297-5594.  

Fri., Sept. 6, 5 to 6 pm, NY picket to protest the murder  of two organizers at Remy Countreau Plantation in Haiti;  at 55th St. at 5th Ave. For information call 212-947-7744  

Sat., Sept. 7, 10:30 am to 1 pm, Labor in Solidarity with  Immigrant Workers and Detainees. Assemble: 10:30 a.m., 9th  St./5 Ave., Bklyn. (N/R to 9 St. or F to 4 Ave.); March:  11 am; Rally: 12 Noon, Metropolitan Detention Center, 29  St./3d Ave., Brooklyn (N/R to 25 St./4 Ave.)  

Sat., Sept. 7, 1-5 pm, Harlem 9/11 Remembrance/Teach-in  for Global Peace and Justice, St. Mary's Church, 521  W.126th St., bet. Amsterdam and Old Broadway.  

Sun., Sept. 8, Mass Demonstration for World Peace and  Justice, 2 pm: Gather in Times Square, 3 pm: March to  Union Square, 5 pm: Rally in Union Square. (note: Arab &  Muslim gathering 12 noon to 2:00 pm at Times Square)

Tues., Sept. 10, 7 pm, to Wednesday morning September 11,  "Vigil for Peaceful Tomorrows" in Washington Square Park,  W. 4th St., sponsored by families of 911 victims and  others. Wed., Sept 11, 8:46 am to 10:29 am, New Yorkers mourn and  say no to war, a silent protest in honor of those who died  in last year's attacks and in all subsequent military  actions. Silently lay on the ground in Union Square Park.  For information: schelle@earthlink.net

Thurs., Sept. 12, 6:30 pm, The Bush Administration's  Attack on Cuba - Widening the "War Against Terror"/ NYC Committee to Free the Five Cuban Heroes. Thursday, September 12 UN PROTEST DURING BUSH ADDRESS AT  UN  The protest will take place in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza,  First Avenue and 47th Street, from 9 AM-noon. Protesters  will urge the members of the United Nations to oppose any  escalation in the warfare against the people of Iraq and  will address President Bush's stance and the speech he  makes to the UN.
