A Zogby poll last month showed that 42% of voters in the US would favor impeachment "if it is found the President misled the nation about his reasons for going to war with Iraq." www.ThePeopleJudgeBush.org evidence shows irrefutably that he did mislead the nation. He had to because his real reasons for invading Iraq blatantly contravened international and U.S. law. Because of his deception, nearly 1,800 U.S. soldiers and more than 100,000 Iraqi people are dead.

Last Tuesday, July 29th, three British soldiers were charged with war crimes for abusing prisoners in Iraq. Eight additional British soldiers, including a former Colonel, will face military tribunals in connection with the abuse. A /Reuters/ article called these charges the "tip of the iceberg". We know that such abuse was rampant; and not the result of a few soldiers acting alone The war crimes committed by U.S. and British troops are the direct result of policies and directives that came from the Bush Administration.. It's time to charge those at the top who actually planned and orchestrated the abuse and torture--those same people who planned and initiated this illegal war.

This is a critical moment to continue organizing against the rogue regime in Washington D.C. -- George W. Bush has just nominated John G. Roberts Jr. to the Supreme Court. Just last week, Roberts, as part of three-judge panel, upheld military tribunals in Guantanamo that are outrageous violations of rights granted to defendants by international law and the U.S. Constitution.

Millions of people are beginning to understand that the crimes of the Bush Administration extend far beyond their lies about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. It is a policy of endless war on a global scale. It includes unprecedented attacks on civil rights and civil liberties, attacks on people of color and especially on immigrants. This bigoted right-wing agenda includes attacks on the rights of women and the rights of lesbian, gay bi and transgendered people. Social Security and social programs that are vital to our youth, our seniors and the disabled are being dismantled.

Now is the time to act! The majority of the population is now against the war. But this war will drag on and on unless we mobilize in the streets to demand that the troops come home. We can best reach out to the great majority who oppose the war and the whole Bush agenda by building a movement that is inclusive of all these issues. Unity and solidarity with all people under attack strengthens the movement.

We need unity against endless war and occupations of Iraq, Palestine, Haiti, Afghanistan, the Philippines and so many other countries targeted by the Pentagon. Together we are a more powerful voice for demanding jobs at decent pay, health care housing and education not war.

People Judge Bush will join the Troops Out Now Coalition and the Harlem Tenants Council and many, many others activists and community organizations in HARLEM at MARCUS GARVEY PARK BANDSHELL at 124 & 5th Ave. on SUNDAY, JULY 31 from 1 to 5 pm for speakers, live music and food.

We will mobilize for the demonstration at the WHITE HOUSE with the SEPTEMBER 24th NATIONAL COALITION with the same slogans and unity.
