For a world free of U.S. military occupation & colonialism, from Puerto Rico to Iraq, ALL OUT TO DC OCTOBER 25!

Join ProLibertad Freedom Campaign, Nationalist Party of Puerto Rico New York Committee, the Vieques Support Campaign and many others, in a Vieques/Puerto Rico contingent at an anti-war protest in Washington, DC on October 25th. The protest is sponsored by International A.N.S.W.E.R. and United For Peace & Justice.

The same U.S. government responsible for the brutal occupation of the Iraqi peoples' homeland, is also waging a campaign of reprisals against the people of Vieques. There are 12 political defendants in Puerto Rico facing serious charges for simply exercising their right to celebrate with defiance, the closing of the U.S. Navy target practice range in Vieques on May 1 of this year.

The Committee for the Rescue & Development of Vieques has called on its supporters everywhere to protest the continued abuse of the people of that Puerto Rican island. The abuses continue and therefore, the struggle will continue.

The cancer and other consequences of the six decades of bombing practices are taking its toll in the lives of the people there; U.S. officials refuse to address the issue of decontamination and the return of the stolen lands to the people.

The misery and destruction which Vieques continues to suffer are for reasons none other than the lust U.S. officials have for war. Since 1941, U.S. military operations have been rehearsed on the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico.

The Puerto Rican experience confirms precisely what are U.S. motives in Iraq - colonial domination. All out to Washington, DC on October 25 to oppose U.S. military occupation from Puerto Rico to Iraq. Join the Vieques/Puerto Rico Contingent.
