TABLING POLICY
http://www.internationalanswer.org/campaigns/o25/logistics.html#dc14The march will end at the Washington Monument (the march will return to the original gathering location), which is close to several metro stops on the blue/orange line. The Smithsonian station has two entrances: 12th St. at Jefferson Dr. SW (on the Mall) and the SW corner of 12th St. & Independence Ave. SW. The Metro Center station has four entrances: SE corner of 11th and G Sts. NW; SW corner 12th and F Sts. NW; SE corner 13th and G Sts. NW; NE corner 12th and G Sts. NW. The Federal Triangle station has an entrance on the West side of 12th St. between Pennsylvania & Constitution Aves. NW. If there is a line at Smithsonian, please try these other stations and entrances.
You will take the blue/orange line metro towards "Addison-New Carrolton" and exit at RFK Stadium/Armory (also on the blue/orange line). After exiting the metro, walk across East Capitol Street to Lot 3. There will also be volunteers on hand at this end to direct people.
The metro ride will cost $1.20 per rider. Fare cards must be purchased from machines (not from a person) located in the metro stations. The maximum change the machines give is $4.95, so please have small bills. The quickest way to take the metro will be to have a designated person from your group collect $1.20 from all riders beforehand and then purchase the total number of fare cards at one time. Check the WMATA site at http://www.wmata.com for more information.
A "Tips for Using the Metro" sheet is available as a word document that can be modified and then printed out for your bus riders (please look for the "notes to bus organizers"). This can be found at http://www.internationalanswer.org/campaigns/o25/metrotips.doc
