NYC--Wednesday, March 2nd: UNITED NATIONAL ANTI-WAR COMMITTEE: COME TO THE NEXT UNAC-NYC PLANNING MEETING

7 pm

IAC, 55 W. 17th St., 5th Floor, Manhattan

Just since our last meeting two weeks ago, events around a world already in ever-spreading revolt have quickened tremendously -- and so has the antiwar movement's response!

* The US is threatening war against Libya in the form of a "no-fly" zone and has openly said its warships are moving into position off the Libyan coast for either a military or "humanitarian" mission. UNAC nationally has adopted a clear position against any US military or other intervention in Libya and is ready to act as need be.

* Peace Action New York State has endorsed April 9th, joining other state chapters of this over half a century-old antiwar group.

This follows the endorsement of the 300,000-strong 1199 United Health Care Workers-East.

* UNAC has sent a delegation to Madison to show solidarity with the striking public workers of Wisconsin, and UNAC members have brought the "Jobs, Not War!" message to solidarity rallies all over the country.

JOIN US IN ONGOING PLANS FOR APRIL 9TH AND ACTIONS BEFORE AND AFTER IN SOLIDARITY WITH PEOPLE IN REVOLT FROM MADISON TO CAIRO!
