TRAVEL WITH THE IAC TO
HONDURAS!In November,
the Frente Libre Party will hold elections for Presidential Candidate Xiomara
Castro, and Juan Barahona for Vice President. These elections are under
jeopardy of being stolen by the ruling elite with the complicity of the U.S.
government much like what happens in Mexico. In addition, resistance leaders
and people in the movement face brutal repression.
The IAC as well as the Honduras Solidarity
Network will travel to Honduras in mid-November to observe this historical
election and to show support for the Partido Liberal and the Honduran
resistance. We will send a message to the White House that the solidarity
movement stands with the Honduran people, the Frente, and the resistance.
We will meet with labor leaders, women and human rights activists as well as
with the Frente candidates.
Costs are approximately
$1,500 which includes housing and flight. Fundraisers will be organized. For
