NYC: Get out the vote for the Freedom Party citywide

Bail Out the People is mobilizing 110% to get out the vote for the Freedom Party citywide.

We could use a hand. See the details below.

You know the basics: here's one more headline that sums it up --

Cuomo Promises to Stand Up to Unions
That was the Daily News. And in last Monday’s NY Times, he announces a "permanent political campaign" against what he calls "the well-financed labor unions" which he says "have bullied previous governors and lawmakers into making bad decisions."

Cuomo's campaign is well-financed because he’s the bankers’ and developers’ candidate.

The Freedom Party is not well-financed, and depends on people power.

See below for more reasons (if you need more reasons) to vote for

Charles Barron-Governor, Eva Doyle-Lt. Governor and Ramon Jimenez-Attorney General.

Remember this: if the Freedom Party gets just 50,000 votes on Tuesday, it wins permanent ballot status.
That's a long-term victory that we need. If we get this we won't need the Democratic Party.

Get-out-the-vote strategy: Maximum Visibility Election Eve and Election Day.

TOP PRIORITY TIMES: 6-9am Tuesday morning, and 4:30-9pm Tuesday night.
>>>>Anyone available Monday night for subway distribution or poster placement at polling sites,
>>>>call 212-633-6646 right away.

We'll mobilize squads in high-volume areas, at targeted high volume polling places:

  • In Manhattan: call 212-633-6646 (downtown) or 646-730-2562 (uptown).
  • In Brooklyn: call 646-841-5690.
  • In Queens: call 347-494-9939
  • In the Bronx: call 347-721-8606

We are also open to volunteers choosing a preferred site: we'll provide palm cards & posters.

If you can't take a polling place to take responsibility for your building or neighborhood.

The main thing is to make people aware of the importance of voting for the Freedom Party.

We can make history on Tuesday -- the Freedom Party is the first Black & Latino-led party to vie

for ballot status in its own name!

With a majority of Black & Latino voters in New York city, this matters.

Combine it with

the large numbers of progressive union voters and others who want real change,

and we can have a decisive electoral force to shape the future of New York City!

PS: Here's a powerful answer to Cuomo's attack on unions.

This video is less than 3 minutes long, and a strong argument for a vote for Charles Barron.

Thanks to Michael Otto, Bail Out The People, South Bronx Community Congress

New York City Councilman Charles Barron, the Freedom Party’s candidate for Governor,
fights for the rights of the working class,
the poor and people of color.
He stands for free tuition for CUNY and SUNY students, and has a plan to finance it with a modest progressive income tax on rich people.
He opposes "stop and frisk," and the school-to-prison pipeline.
He will end to mayoral control and institute community control of schools.
He promises to protect services to seniors. He defends the rights of immigrants.

Charles Barron has pledged to abolish the infamous anti-union Taylor law.
He has fought for and won thousands of jobs throughout the city, and
opposed job-killing layoffs and budget cuts. He also calls for a large-scale
public jobs program to deal with the massive unemployment that ravages the population – particularly young people and people of color.
He also opposes the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, which are not only just plain wrong,
but have misdirected trillions of dollars that should be used at home for jobs, services,
education and infrastructure.

Here is a two-part video of Charles Barron speaking at Teamsters Local 808 in early October.
