Jan21: Global Day to support the Egyptian revolution

In their quest for Dignity, Freedom, Justice, and Democracy, Egyptian Americans & Egyptian Solidarity Groups are calling upon people from all nations, races, colors, and religions as well as human rights and peace groups and organizations to join Egyptians abroad in their rallies to support the Egyptian revolution.

After almost one year since those unforgettable, historical days of the Egyptian revolution, the status quo in Egypt is worsening.  The post-revolution rulers of Egypt are still enforcing emergency law, detaining innocent people without trial, subjecting civilians to military courts, killing protesters, using prohibited weapons against peaceful protesters, kidnapping revolutionists, defaming revolutionists using the state-owned media, and torturing, targeting, and sexually insulting women, etc.

Accordingly, We call upon those inspired by or those who supported the Egyptian revolution to demand the support of their government to the Egyptian revolution. We ask every freedom supporter to join us in requesting from the current rulers of Egypt to act immediately on the following demand:

1. Transfer of power from SCAF to the elected parliament.

2. Honor, morally as well as financially, the families of the victims and those injured in the revolution.

3. Immediate release of the detainees and end to all militarily trials of civilians.

4. Abolish military tribunals for civilians

5. Bring to justice everyone who was involved – by giving or executing orders - in killing protesters over the past 10 months.

Please join us at our Rallies around the nation, bring your family and friends and spread the words about the support event near you. Also, please take a short video of yourself and family members telling the world that you will support the Egypt’s revolution and be on the streets on January 21st. and then post it at the event Facebook page for your city.
