 No Drones In New York City!    Why is $400 Million of NYC tax money going to Technion - Israel Institute to build a weapons lab?

The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology is a corporation that does military research for the Israeli government. They design drones that kill Palestinian children and design tractors that bulldoze Palestinian families.
The same weapons are being designed for use here. Bloomberg is turning Roosevelt Island into a "tech hub" where Cornell University will work with Technion in military research.
A major public NYC long-term care hospital, Goldwater Hospital, will be closed to make way for this Israeli military corporation. Thousands of people with disabilities will be displaced!
Under Mayor Bloomberg's plan, Technion, in a partnership with Cornell University, receives $300 million in real estate and $100 million in NYC funds toward building a high-tech engineering and weapons center. They also received 22,000 sq ft of space to launch this deadly project at the Google building at 15th St. and 8th Ave. in Manhattan.
With schools, hospitals, libraries, and post offices closing down all over this city, it is an outrage to give our tax dollars to the Pentagon and the Israeli military machine for surveillance, repression and murder.

We say: No drones! No to endless U.S. wars!

Hands off Palestine, Mali, Syria, Iran, Philippines, Pakistan…

Stop nuclear "games" against Korea!

No U.S. coup in Venezuela!

We need health care! Not warfare!
