This August 7-15 in Caracas, Venezuela, we will have the chance to learn about the achievements and victories of the Venezuelan people, who have stood up to U.S. imperialism and fought for their social and economic rights.
The 16th Annual World Festival of Youth and Students is an opportunity to exchange ideas and share experiences fighting war, racism, sexism, bigotry, LGBT oppression, globalization, the destruction of the environment, ongoing attacks on the rights and well-being of the working class, and more!
An estimated 20,000 attendees are expected, with the largest delegation coming from the United States, to what will be the largest event in the world for progressive youth.
You and/or your organization can participate in exchanges between delegations, art exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, intramural sports activities, cultural events and performances, parties, and much more!
THE UNITED STATES HAS BLOOD ON ITS HANDS! With the ongoing unjustifiable occupation of Iraq, the death of at least one human being on the U.S./Mexico border every day, the push for CAFTA, and the worldwide spread of U.S. imperialism.
We will assert our right to education and employment, racial, gender, and economic equality, land reform, and the independence and self-determination of nations. IT IS UP TO US working class and oppressed youth to come together in solidarity with the youth of Venezuela and the world, so that our voices are heard and our message is clear:
