The solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its process of profound changes is crucial at this time.

Many things are happening in the USA: elections, government corruption, great problems in Bush' administration and in many state's local government, the still grave situation of the victims of Hurricane Katrina, the incredible increase on the cost of living and above all, the intensification of the US war against Iraq.

It is in these chaotic times when the US government can be most vicious and without regard for international consequences can attack those countries that they consider "enemies". This is the case of the Republics of Venezuela and Cuba.

Tuesday, November 8th is an important day when the Bush administration will hear thousands of voices saying that we support the Bolivarian Process taking place in Venezuela and its idea of integration. Here, right here in the "Belly of the Beast", in New York City, seat of the justification for the so called "War on Terrorism". Here in New York while mayoral elections are being held on Tuesday 8th, we will also hold elections in Town Hall. Every person attending will be voting NO with their presence to the vicious hostile campaign against Venezuela and its leader, President Hugo Chavez Frias. Each person will be able to sign a document making clear this position, demanding that the US government immediately stops this campaign against Venezuela.

Sisters and brothers from New York, from the rest of the USA and the world, please do everything you can to attend and support this emergency solidarity event, this event of unity where representatives from the different antiwar coalitions and artists, intellectuals, elected officials will speak side to side an impressive delegation directly from Venezuela, including Elegua, an all Afrovenezuelan women drumming group.
