From MumiaNYC: This Sat. March 30th is an emergency demonstration in support of the Palestinian people against Israeli attack. Conditions in Ramallah are extremely serious with Israeli troops cutting off electricity, shooting up the water tanks, firing on ambulances from helping wounded and killed, while heavy tank shelling and gun fire occur on the overwhelmingly unarmed civilian population. International civilians from New York City, the U.S. and elsewhere have been in Ramallah and elsewhere going on ambulances trying to act as human shields on board to force Israeli's to allow ambulances through. As many of you have heard by now, the Israeli military has re-entered Ramallah with tanks. They have stormed Al-Aqsa and are shelling Arafat's headquarters.
Fighting is reported room to room. More civilians have been killed. Electricity has been turned off (it's cold there now) and the population is again under curfew. Ramallah residents report tanks passing down the main street in Ramallah through civilian neighborhoods.
Over 300 International peace activists are being held at Israel's Ben Gurien Airport. Israel is threatening to expel all of them. If any of you can make it to the demonstration for Palestine tomorrow in Worcester, please try.
