Walk for Justice to Federal Court Building, Pratt & Hanover Sts
Picket 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Federal Court, downtown BaltimoreLet's stand with the Palestinian people in opposing the continuing U.S. war against the peoples of the Middle East. The fact is that Israeli soldiers could not shoot and bomb Palestinian people without the hundreds of billions of dollars in aid that the Israeli regime receives from the U.S. The same bankers and business interests that pay to kill Palestinian youth are the ones who pay the cops here to attack workers and students fighting for justice and to terrorize the community. We need the billions of dollars spent to continue this terror to be used right here in Baltimore to provide health care, jobs and education. New York City: Palestinian, Israeli, and Activists of all Nationalities Unite for a: LIE-DOWN ACTION: STOP THE ISRAELI MASSACRES Including a skit by the Al-Awda Street Theater Committee WHEN: Monday November 20, 1pm Sharp. WHERE: Outside the Israeli Consulate, 800 2nd Ave., Btw. 42nd and 43rd. HOW: We will lie down on the ground in silence for 15 minutes, simulating the corpses of each of the Palestinians killed by Israel since September 29. Each of us will hold a sign, bearing the name of one of the massacred. While over 200 of us will lie down in silence, few others will leaflet around us. You may wear your keffiyehs or any other item of clothing that has meaning for you in this situation. The effect of this action is visual, for passers by, for workers peeking from Consulate windows, and, yes, for press cameras. The death-toll already excedes 200. We ask that you make every effort to come, and to mobilize for this action, so that we will have no fewer participants than than names of victims. If possible, please email to let us know that you can commit. Coordination must be perfect. We will only lie-down for exactlyu 15 minutes so being there on time, not messing up with taking a name-sign and a position, is essential. Dress warm, with lots of layers. It is cold, and lying on the ground will feel colder. Just to soothe those who may worry: the action has been coordinated with NYPD 17th Precinct. No permit complexities. With love, ArtAction www.ArtAction.org
