NYC: CALL TO ACTION AGAINST THE US/ISRAELI POLICIES OF ASSASSINATION
Tuesday, March 23, 5 to 6 PM in front of the Israeli ConsulateOn Monday, March 22, 2004, yet another Israeli war crime against the Palestinian people the assassination of Hamas founder and spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin - took place with the full complicity and support of the U.S. government. Sheikh Yassin, in his wheelchair, was struck by a U.S.-made and funded missile shot from a U.S.-made and supplied Apache helicopter, using the latest in U.S. military technology to further the ongoing genocidal war against the Palestinian people. This criminal attack is only the latest brutal assault in a string of massacres perpetrated against Palestinians. These attacks have been fully funded by billions of dollars in US aid, and supported by massive political, military and institutional assistance. NOW IS THE TIME TO SPEAK OUT - to say that our money cannot and must not be used for the shedding of Palestinian blood and the conquest of Palestinian land! Following in the historic steps of the March 20 mobilization, it is time for all of us to take to the streets and demand freedom for Palestine!
As millions of people in Palestine and all across the world stand together in mourning and in solidarity, we in NY will stand with them.
