Korea Truth Commission: Mid-Atlantic Preliminary Hearing for the June 23rd International War Crimes Tribunal in New York City on The Criminal Role of the U.S. Military in Korea

This forum will present eyewitness testimony from Korea of massacre survivors from the Korean War in 1950. Thursday, March 29th , 2001, @ 6:00pm The Auditorium in the Visitors Center (On Route 1, use Campus entrance 1 block South of Campus Drive), U. of Maryland College Park, Washington DC

Presentations and Discussion:  

  • Eyewitness Testimony from Survivors of U.S. Troop attacks  
  • U.S. Domination of Asia and the importance of Korea  
  • The struggle for self-determination in Korea today  
  • U.S. war crimes and the fight for justice

6:00pm – Reception with Korean Food, cultural presentation

7:00pm– Program with massacre survivors, speakers, and discussion

Directions to the Visitors Center Auditorium:  

From South of the Campus, take Route 1 (U.S. 1) North to the Rossborough Lane traffic light (1 traffic light South of Campus Drive) and turn left, the Visitors Center is immediately to your right, park in Lot C (free).  From North of the Campus: take Route 1 (U.S. 1) South past Campus Drive, the first entrance on your right is for the visitors center. Turn right into the visitors center and park in Lot C (don’t park at the meters; they run until 10pm.
