Evidence of more than 160 instances of U.S.-led military attacks on Korean non-combatants during the Korean War have surfaced since Sept. 1999. Hundreds of thousands of children, women and aged people are believed to have been massacred as a result of orders from US military brass. What emerged from articles published by the AP in 1999 was not "mistakes by panic stricken troops," as the current US investigation of NoGun-ri implies, but rather a systematic campaign of extermination that targeted the broad and progressive Korean resistance movement. Like the Palestinian Intifada and the people's movement of Colombia today, the Korean people wanted (and continue to fight today) for self-determination, US troops out and an end to the US-imposed division of their country. On June 23, 2001, an International People's War Crimes Tribunal will be held in New York City to put the US on trial!
